(Only several fragments, some of them reproduced here, remain from the Iberian incunabulum). The Constantinople text has many flaws; even parts of R. Samuel ben Meir's Tosafot to the Alfasi are included as part of the text of the Alfasi! The need for an independent text of the Alfasi is served by the current facsimile edition of Rab. 692.
